Hello all. Does anyone have an idea why sort by year not working.

My setup...

MB3

Windows 8.1

Media center classic

All latest versions

It other machines running MB3 and classic on windows 7 works. Does a certain version of net framework need to be running? Let me know if more information is needed. Thanks so very much!

Need to know exactly what you mean by "not working" and in exactly what context.

Please provide the exact steps of what you did, a screenshot of what you saw and description of what you expected instead.  Thanks.

ok... 1. I go to options and set to sort ascending.

2. I make sure sort is by "year"

3. I go to my Batman Boxset, for example, and find years in random order.

This happens ONLY on this machine.

It doesn't matter which boxset, genre, or theme I choose.

It happens on all views.

Please Advise...

The first thing you should do is be sure you update MBC to the just released beta of 108 as the year sorting did change in that version.  If that doesn't fix it, then confirm with the web client editor that the "Premiered Date" is correct for those items.  Also confirm with the default or Chocolate themes.

Bottom line, It works now! I ugraded to 108 but that did not fix it.

So I went to the web client editor and refreshed to populate the "Release Date" field

and tested on a few collections and themes. It now works! It looks like I'll be spending

some time updating the "release date" not just the "year" field. Curious still why this one machine. The other

machine did originally have MB2. I just uninstalled and loaded MB3 on that. This machine is a clean install of 8.1 and MB3. Oh well, All's Good! Live and Learn.

Thanks For Responding and Take Care...
