sofortune 0
Sorry guys, really new to Emby but have been a XBMC/Kodi user for long time, so bear with me if i'm asking some stupid questions. I recently setup Kodi boxes in multiple rooms and now i want to sync the database between boxes (played status, resume points, etc). All of my content is hosted on a Synology and the Kodi boxes are run off of Intel NUCs. Should i be using the Emby add-on to do this, or should i be running Emby server on the NAS? I basically installed the add-on but the settings are super confusing to me and I couldn't figure out what to do. Thanks
Solution yardameus 220 Posted July 2, 2016 Solution Share Posted July 2, 2016 Both. The emby server controls the database centrally. The Kodi add-on accesses the server to populate the Kodi library. The add-on settings are generally set automatically how you would want them, but there are a few that you can tweak per preference. Using the add-on replaces adding locations to your library in Kodi. First, get your server set up how you want it, than use the add-on.
