dakaratekid 4 Posted July 2, 2016 Share Posted July 2, 2016 I'm somehow unable to play a few movies that I recently added to my emby server. I don't get any error through kodi, it just never gives that 'opening stream' message. The movies exist and I can play them using VLC. Any insight would be helpful. dakaratekid 4 Posted July 2, 2016 Author Share Posted July 2, 2016 The path is valid, I can copy paste this on my server and the movie will launch. I did recently enable path substitution which allows for UNC access, so I can only assume that either a) this movie was added before hand, and does not use path substitution, or Emby for Kodi just logs everything from the perspective of the Emby Server. Angelblue05 4130 Posted July 2, 2016 Share Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) This path is only valid locally - as in Kodi needs to be on the same device as your server. If you recently added a path substitution to convert your path into a network path on your emby server, try running a repair database by launching the emby for kodi add-on > repair database.
