obrienmd 2
OS: Win 10 Pro x64 Emby: 3.1.18 and 3.1.21 (tested both) CPU: i7-4770 Memory: 16GB DDR3 Storage: All SSD-based In the web and android UIs, my 49,000 item image and home video library has two problems: Many image folders have no thumbnail (i.e. a generic folder thumbnail) rather than an image thumbnail, though there are valid images inside subfolders of that folder. I believe, but am not 100% sure, this only happens when there are no direct child images in that folder. Many video folders have an incorrect thumbnail (i.e., a thumbnail belonging to a sibling folder rather than an image / video inside the folder). #1 might just be a feature request, but I think #2 is a bug. Let me know what else I can provide for testing! Server logs attached. server-logs.zip Edited June 15, 2016 by obrienmd

obrienmd 2
Have you verified your Service settings? Metadata-Services-Content type drop-down for each type This looks to be for home videos only (no photo options), but thumbnail generator is set to screen grabber, which seems right. Does anyone know the source file(s) that affect thumbnail generation for photos and videos? I'm not really a .NET dev, but I may take a hack at a pull request.
