techywarrior 688
I have a tablet that I played an MKV with subtitles on and the subtitles were centered based on the portrait width rather then the landscape width even though I was playing the movie in landscape orientation. This makes the subtitles appear off to the left side and if they are long then part is cutoff on the left. When I switch to portrait the subtitles are correctly centered (but the rendering looks like crap, all aliased) @@Luke I investigate this more and it's not what I original thought. I took some measurements and it didn't add up. What the problem is may be simpler. When watching subtitles on 4x3 content on a 16x9 tablet the subtitles are centered based on the width of the 4x3 video but that box (the subtitles seem to act like a new overlay) is left aligned so part is behind the black area on the side. The subtitle "box" needs to be centered or moved to the right the amount of the black letterboxing on the side.
