Jonathon 5
I updated my Emby server to 3.0.5972.0 today. Upon startup, the "Loading Emby Server Version 3.0.5972.0" screen shows with the green progress bar complete. I can access the web interface, but a short time later the startup screen closes and Emby server has crashed. I found that Emby created 166 directories in the %appdata%\MediaBrowser-Server\root\default directories, "./Recordings" through "./Recordings111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111" I deleted these directories, but they are recreated upon startup. I also uninstalled Emby Server, deleted the directories, and reinstalled. They were again recreated. The following error is in the server log: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters. Why are these directories being created, as it appears they are causing the server to crash. I have attached the directory output, server install log and server startup log. Luke 37342
hi, have you customized your recordings path, and if so, to what?
Jonathon 5
hi, have you customized your recordings path, and if so, to what? It was set to F:\Video\TV Shows\Series\
Luke 37342
It was set to F:\Video\TV Shows\Series\ It might possibly be a trivial issue of the trailing \ can you confirm by changing the setting to F:\Video\TV Shows\Series If this succeeds it may not undo what's been done but it shouldn't keep happening. thanks.
