tp546 39
when inside media center, in most cases (unless you are playing something, maybe others) pressing the menu button on the remote brings you to the media center movies app. is there a way to get it to point to mbc instead? i don't want to remap the button because i still want menu to function correctly when i am playing something. Cheesegeezer 3088
this sounds odd!! what remote control are you using. Also where do you want it to take you within mbc?
tp546 39
I'm using a Harmony One but the IR receiver goes with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-RC1534035-Japanese-RC6-BATTERIES/dp/B007FZEG4Y I want it to launch MBC to the sign in screen. I just want media center to think MBC is my movies app instead of its own default app that I don't use.
Logos302 86
This is probably what the harmony remote software has configured that button to do. you could program it for a hotkey and then set the shortcut to mbc to have a hotkey.

jcain 7
download media center studio. start the program. click start menu click entry points drag and drop mbc icon to movies strip area. disable the other stuff you don't use while you're in there. Thanks but I tried that and it doesn't work. I unchecked all the items in Movies and moved MBC there and MBC didn't show up but all the other items still did and it didn't change the behavior of the button either. I had the entire movies strip removed previously.
