Starlionblue 80 Posted May 23, 2016 Share Posted May 23, 2016 While I don't have anything against the requirement for .NET framework per se, unfortunately Emby Theater auto-updated and then couldn't run because it was missing that component. I was not home. The kids wanted to watch some stuff and were understandably unimpressed. Perhaps some sort of deferrable update mechanism would be appropriate in cases such as these that add a component that needs a separate and attended installation. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Luke 37112 Posted May 23, 2016 Share Posted May 23, 2016 The last couple server releases should have been nagging you at startup with admin prompts to install the framework, so this was planned out over a month in advance. But yes there should have been an announcement too. No worries. However I had the problem on Emby Server, which as I understand it auto-updates.
