Should Android Mobile be able to direct play a WTV file?

I'm wondering whether I'm wasting my time trying to get the Android Mobile app to direct play recorded TV programs created by WMC.  I've got live tv direct playing, but recordings made by WMC always transcode.

 

Here is what the web interface says about the wtv files:

I guess that since the wiki (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Android%20Mobile) doesn't list .wtv under the Direct Play Media Formats section, and given the lack of response to the contrary, that I should just go ahead and assume it is not currently possible.

Yea, sorry, I missed this, but direct play of wtv is not currently supported.

the other thing you could do is look at the folder sync feature as a way to create streaming friendly versions of those recordings:
