Emby Theater choppy Mkv playback & no bitstreaming

I've been off emby for a while, seemed every update I was spending too much time getting my media center to work again. So I got back into it today and can not get my blu ray mkv's to play properly.

 

Video stutters and audio won't bitstream it's pcm only.

If I play the same files on mpc-hc I get less issues bitstream audio is there but still minor frame rate issue. I didn't look further into it as I like the emby player, when I can get it to work.

 

Hardware acceleration = auto

Audio bitstreaming = HDMI

Audio render = default

Max stream bitrate = 40mbps though files are on same pc

Filter set = stable

Video remder = madVR

change refresh rate to match = off - tried on

Audio device(wasapi) = default

Enable smooth motion = off - tried on

Smooth motion mode = tried them all with no luck

 

Any ideas would be appreciated, had my media center setup for a few years now, I'm keen to keep it going.

Just saw mystic.bertie's post

Saying turn off subtitles and use evr+

That's sorted the video out (haven't bothered to check on subtitled movies yet)

Still can't figure out how to get bitstream audio back
