pmcd 0 Posted April 9, 2016 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I have a TS-252+ with 8 gigs of ram that I use as a media server amongst other things. The unit is capable of hardware transcoding. Neither Emby, nor Plex, takes advantage of this capability. Is there any chance that Emby might support this at some point in the future? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you tried the experimental MediaStreaming version? http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=109476 It uses the QNAP media streaming add-on for transcoding.
