Emby Cover Art refresh

I have a setup where I have a NAS and it is on a shutdown schedule but the media centre gets used during business hours by the family watching tv (while the nas is shutdown). This setup is ideal for me but the schedule for library refresh is not granular enough nor do I know how to initiate a refresh upon WOL sent to nas, when this update occurs while the nas is not responding all the Art is changed to default media strip icons and I loose all my bling until next library update. Once the nas is started by WOL command and I use Emby I see all default icons (not the cover art), my storage for coverart is local to the media center and not on the nas. One option that would be ideal for my setup would be to have emby check (maybe an option to enter i.p or dns name to ping) if the nas is up before performing scan (a simple ping would do) and if the NAS is not responding do not initiate library update, ( this would keep all my "bling" intact).
