When using the endpoint to obtain frequently played and most played songs I have a slight issue. The API presently works correctly when using includeitemtypes=audio with the dateplayed and playcount sorting. When using it with includeitemtypes=musicalbum this isnt true. When playing a song from within an album It seems the dateplayed isnt inherited by the album, nor is it increment the albums playcount. Only the song itself gets updated.

 

Is this intentional? It seems a bug. I am trying to add recently played, most played, favorites and genres to the roku music row on the homesreen. As we know the roku is album based, not track based. So having the music album increment the playcount and inherit the date played when one of its tracks is played would be kind. Can this be done please?

right now we don't have this. the data is based on media, not folders. the only workaround i can think of for now would be to fetch based on songs and then do a client-side grouping based on Album.
