amura11 4 Posted March 9, 2016 Share Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) I have Emby for Kodi setup and it was working beautifully...then I moved...and everything went to hell (of course). When I try to access a movie I get an error saying "Direct play failed 3 times, using HTTP" (or something to that effect). I messed around with the settings and achieved nothing. Current Setup Emby: Version 3.0.5782.0, Ubuntu 14.04 All media is located under /data/* Path substitution: /data/ -> \\192.168.1.115\ Kodi: Version 15.2, Windows 7 x64 I've tried accessing the data through Windows Explorer which works fine (\\192.168.1.115\data). Looking through the logs I noticed the plugin keeps trying to access "smb://192.168.1.115/tv/<my show>" and saying it's failing. I've attached the log file for reference. I want to get Kodi to direct play my files as I'm having weird playback issues with HTTP (long buffering, cache full, some videos having issues playing, maybe transcoding errors).
