Popperton 0 Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 I have a fire to that just plain refuses to connect via either the IP address or http. Any attempt to connect results in 'error connecting to server' but this happens immediately as if it hasn't even tried? I can connect to the server on a Windows PC and via an iPad but I want to use the fire to as it's connected to my main TVs. Any ideas? I have noticed that on both the iPad app and the PCs app I'm able to specify the port but there is no option to do this in the fire to app. Is this the reason? Solution ebr 14955 Posted February 24, 2016 Solution Share Posted February 24, 2016 Have you changed the default port on your server? If so, you can specify the port on the address line by adding it at the end (e.g. :8096). Make sure you are allowing UDP traffic to the server through the firewall on that machine as well so that the automatic discovery will work. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
