jds828 24
I'm thinking of getting a remote and receiver for a Windows PC. I've looked at Flirc as the receiver but the remotes range from the really nasty £5 specials on Ebay to £100's for those posh jobs with screens built into them. I don't mind paying for a decent one I can move between PC's (All Windows) but I can't justify the top end ones prices. Up to £100 for both...Any ideas? CFC 25
If I were using FLIRC, I'd probably go for the peanut style Tivo remotes like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TiVo-Remote-Control-For-TiVo-Premiere-Series4-TCD746320-/181919480515?hash=item2a5b3efac3:g:eWEAAOSwaA5WjVUJ otherwise, the basic RC6 type Windows Media Center remotes work pretty well also. Good luck. CFC
jds828 24
Thanks CFC I use an RC6 (Toshiba) on my NUC but not all the buttons work. I've looked for an editor but never came up with anything. The Toshiba remote is ok, a bit on the big side. I have a spare one that could be used but wasn't sure it would work with FLIRC. CFC 25
I don't have a FLIRC receiver, but their claim to fame is that they can work with "any" remote out there. CFC
jds828 24
I've ordered the FLIRC. Bit cheaper than I thought at £18 I'm going to test it on the Toshiba RC6 remote for now and look for a better remote over the coming weeks.

I have used "intelli-remote" as an editor in the past and it worked well for me
jds828 24
Thanks chef. I've just downloaded the files so I'll look when I get back from work.
