pgh1949 2
Up until yesterday I could access Emby on my NAS (a QNAP TS-251+) remotely using Emby Connect. I rebooted the NAS yesterday and now I can't connect remotely. When I try using either the iPad App or in a browser to app.emby.media I get as far as logging in to Emby Connect (successfully), I see the name of the NAS as the only entry in the list of available servers but when I click on it I get the error "Connection Failure. We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again". Of course I know it's running and if I connect locally and look at the server dashboard I can see "Running on http port 8096, and https port 8920. Local access: http://10.0.3.1:8096 Remote access: http://###.###.###.###:8096" If I click on the remote access link I get the error: This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED I've shutdown and restarted the server, I've rebooted my router, and disabled the Firewall to no effect. I've even manually updated the Emby software to Version 3.0.5870.0 which is the most recent I can find and I still can't get in remotely. I've tried HTTP and HTTPS. I have no trouble accessing the NAS remotely using the remote address to port 8080 and using myqnapcloud.com. Any suggestions please? edit: With some more local help I discovered that my router had lost the port forwarding setup and wasn't forwarding requests on port 8096 to the NAS. I've now done that and everything is working again. Edited February 22, 2016 by Latchmor Removed External IP Address

Everything is now running perfectly (and I've got an up to date version!) Edited February 22, 2016 by pgh1949

simono5 21
I'd edit your first post as I/everyone can access your Emby login screen. Clicking on Admin login logs you right in there! I'd get your security tightened matey.
