amiga4ever 0 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I'm using several enigma2 based sat receivers. It would be nice to have an native app for enigma2. I tryed to install the Kodi app with Kodi direct plugin but it do not work.
genesisforlive 7 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 it works with the vu+ plugin greets
patEmby 0 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Hello How do you manage the setting between DNLA server (as Emby Server), Profile, ... and the Enigma2 sat receiver (mine is VU+ solo) ? Thanks so much by sharing your experience.
b0mb 35 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 it would be really gr8 if we could have a native enigma2 emby like dreamplex....
docb7 3 Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Yes that would be great! And to clarify this topic. It is not VU+ plugin for Emby that we are talking about. That works ok and helps to watch TV provided by a enigma2 box via Emby. What we / I would really love to have, is a Emby app (in enigma called plugins) like you provide for Android TV, fireTV, appleTV, roku etc. Enigma2 runs on Linux so it should not be too complicated to adapt some of the other linux-based emby apps imho? I would volunteer as a beta-tester ;-) and enigma 2 has a huge community with some dedicated coders so maybe that could be used as a synergy. Best regards
Luke 40068 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 @@amiga4ever @@patEmby @@docb7 @@b0mb @@genesisforlive if you have an enigma tv tuner then we have a better way of using that with Emby. Now with OpenVix you can add your enigma tuner directly to Emby using Emby's native support. No VU+ plugin needed. You can learn more here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/52762-enigma2-livetvdvr-support/ Thanks !
stefan1983 4 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 So to get back on this topic here, there is still no emby app to run on enigma2 based receivers (set top boxes), right? Would be so nice to have a native app running on one of the operating systems. Thanks
murxer83 17 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 @stefan1983 I'm currently working on an Emby Client plugin, but I only offer this for Dreamboxes with DeramOS. But it will take a while until I provide a plugin, currently I don't get a few functions to work. Movies, series, collections, favorites and playlists are already working. The streams can also be played back, only transcoding does not yet work. I also have to add music to the plug-in, but here it actually fails to create the server for music, I can't do that.
stefan1983 4 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Thanks for the feedback, so there is no chance to get your plugin also for non Dreamboxes (I am having multiple VU+ boxes and one older XTrend box)?
murxer83 17 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 No, it is not allowed to adapt it for OE 2.0 boxes. Also the PlexDeram plugin from me is only for Dreamboxes.
stefan1983 4 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Interesting, the Dreamplex plugin was able to install on my VU+ box. But I didn't go further testing with it, because I will stick to Emby
murxer83 17 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 My Plugin is PlexDream not Dreamplex. Dreamplex is fore all e2 boxes. My Plugins are updated with a gui.
stefan1983 4 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 I See, thanks. Hopefully someone else will port a version for non dream boxes
murxer83 17 Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 Here are a few pictures from the EmbyDream plugin. movies, series and music are supported until now. Language English and German are supported. But it's not online yet, because I still have to work through a few points. greetings murxer
Marijuana 12 Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 (edited) Looks very cool, I currently get my channels from a DM920 and an 800. Edited November 25, 2021 by Marijuana 1
murxer83 17 Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 EmbyDream is now online, you can find it in the Board.
