browned 33 Posted February 3, 2016 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I recently moved server, but I managed to do it by installing emby, copying the old server folders over the top of the new install and making sure the new server had the same name and IP address, shares, permissions, and user accounts as the old server. So far all is working ok and yesterdays upgrade of the emby server software went without any trouble. This also ment I didn't have to change anything on my android clients for smb access. I suspect moving servers is something not many people have under taken, so you maybe the first. You may just have to try and see, if it doesn't work reset the db and try again.
