I Emby server on my Synology NAS and I play my videos on my Freebox (a box running on android TV). I am local to a wired network. Thanks for your help. RobsterUK 22 Posted January 22, 2016 Share Posted January 22, 2016 It depends what media you are streaming to your Freebox. If the Freebox can natively play the media (ie .MP4, .avi or whatever) then no transcoding will occur. Transcoding only occurs if the device is unable to natively play the media. Or else how can the device play the media if it is unable to natively play it. Something would need to transcode it! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
