wolf359 6 Posted January 15, 2016 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Logged onto my old emby theater tonight and it gave me the option to load the new one. All was well and loaded the new one and does look very good and its much quicker and smoother at loading films etc. A couple of issues have shown up. Would be good to be able to change the view of the films to cover flow Also found that my old microsoft media remote will not work as well with this version as it did in the old one. I have to hit pause then the ok button for it to do anything and likewise to play. I did end up being able to play 2 episodes at the same time over the top of each other which was very odd indeed by going back to the menu and starting up another episode before I had stopped the first one. One final thing is there a way of stopping on the old emby, the screen coming up each time I start the program to go and load the new version as I have done this 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After a bit of trial and error found I have most control with the old remote. I dont know if you have a thread going for things to suggest but I would like to add something. I was also promoted to upgrade and when I did, I cannot play anything without getting the "Unlock this feature..." prompt. It states that I can connected to emby server on my local network. wolf359 6 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Share Posted January 16, 2016 Hi Luke This morning when I turned on the computer the kids tried to run the old emby I had set up from your zip file and I had this come up on the screen Error attempting to update application file not found exception could not find users\htpc\appdata\roaming\emby\mbt\medisbrowser.updater.exe that screen would then close and go to the log on screen asking for my username and password which it did not recognize. If I reinstall your zip file it will open to my user screen with all my settings there and ready to go but if I turn off my server / client (same computer) it goes back to that screen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have to force quit the app to stop it. I know you'll get all the bugs worked out, looking forward to the future of this app. I've been a long time user of Emby (Media Browser) and am quite impressed with how much it has progressed over the past years. Windows remote functioning correctly is important to me too. Bugs: Sometimes video continue to play even after I exit, causing program to freeze/crash while I hear sound of video playing, had to ALT + F4, this happened at least 4-5 times on different videos Other than that pretty nice, well done. It isn't immediately obvious that you can scroll down for details. Maybe a translucent arrow at the bottom might help to indicate that, or even make it a "click here for more" which takes you to another page? An other things, now it's not possible to click on the title "movie" "tv show" "anime" on home page for see all movies for example. Although the error screen is not gone when I install the old version of Emby it will now come up with all the users in the family but when I turn off the computer (server and client on same machine) and restart it goes to a log on screen asking me for my user name and password.
