GollyJer 17
I'm running Emby on a local file server with Kodi on a separate windows client. Whether I tell Kodi to delete a file from Emby's "end of playback" popup or by simply pressing delete on the keyboard, the file is never deleted. Should this work in a server/client config or does delete only work if Emby is local to the Kodi install? Thanks! Jeremy
Solution xnappo 1593 Posted January 11, 2016 Solution Share Posted January 11, 2016 Yes - but perhaps your Emby user doesn't have delete permissions. Settings->Users->[user Name]->Allow Media Deletion
Angelblue05 4130
Like xnappo said, check the emby user permission on your server. I have tested this area quite a bit and it was working correctly for me. If it still doesn't work, even if the user has access to delete media, let me know. GollyJer 17
That was it... thanks! That is literally the only setting that isn't on by default for the user in Emby server.
Vidman 589
Can you think of any reason that may be? Hmmmm?
