mimmic 0
I'm able to play items from my movie library with 5.1 audio but unable to successfully get 5.1 working on Live or Recorded TV. I can add the recorded tv location as a "mixed content" library and the recorded tv is still only in stereo. I can add the recorded tv location to Plex and it will direct play in 5.1. I've verified the recorded files (.ts) have 5.1 audio in them. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on the beta channel for the Roku app since I saw that helped someone else but it doesn't seem to be helping me.
speechles 1920
http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24151-Theme:-blue-neon-night Have you seen this yet? If you feel comfortable around codecs (and even if you dont) you might try the private roku app on the forum thread above. Luke 37116
Before you do that, please supply an example. See our wiki on transcoding: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Transcoding Scroll down to: My Files Shouldn't Be Transcoding. How Do I Report This? mimmic 0
I verified in the Roku Emby beta app that I had the english audio and no subtitles selected (the stereo audio is labeled as spanish for some reason). I've attached the logs. Luke 37116
have you configured your surround settings in roku system preferences? what is that set to?
speechles 1920
It is transport stream with mpeg2 inside. Mpeg2 causes transcoding. videoAudioCodec = "mp3,aac"if surroundSound thenvideoAudioCodec = videoAudioCodec + ",ac3"end if Are you absolutely sure in your roku system setup, the audio and hdmi settings are set correctly? This code above controls the transcode logic. As you can see if there is a surroundsound system found it adds ac3 as possible. Please make sure your roku is correct. The application depends on this information to know your hardware setup.Edit: @@Luke jinx, now neither of us can talk til someone says our name.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jinx_%28children's_game%29 Edited January 11, 2016 by speechles
Luke 37116
actually it's because we never stream copy with HLS. we'll have to test whether we want to allow that or just encode to a brand new ac3 track
