leerph 4 Posted December 29, 2015 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Hi all. After the last update my live streaming on the android app is very choppy. It will play for a few seconds and freeze and then repeat. However, if I choose play with external player (MX player) then it plays fine for about a minute or 2 and then just closes/crashes out. But it is smooth playback until it stops. I'm a newbie to much of this stuff but I wonder if it is a playback setting in regards to bitrate or something. The reason I say this is b/c we have some non hd channels in our cable package and I can stream them perfectly with no lag or stutter, but all HD channels are choppy. You can go in settings from the menu, then click Playback, then set a bitrate. the default is Auto which is usually best but live tv can be tricky. So try something low like 1mbps.
