Guest
Hi there, first big thanks for developing this great program and the apps/tools! I just switched from Plex to Emby due to the unuseable Plex app for Samsung TVs (random crashes, stuttering and/or slow playback etc.) Browsing and playback of music and movies works flawlessly in Emby, but I have problems viewing photos via the inbuild DLNA-server or via the app for the Samsung D-series TVs. Using normal DLNA via "Source" I can see the thumbnails, but when I try to open a picture it says "unsupported file format". In the app it's quite the same, but the error message there is "undefined render error". This happens for all types of images, no matter what format and file-extension they have. Using "MiniDLNA" I can access the images, also when I copy them on an USB-key and plug it directly in the TV. The device identifies itself as "Samsung UE40D5700" and Emby seems to use the DLNA-profile "Samsung TV". What can I do to troubleshoot the problem? TIA Chris

Also, the image filename is transmitted without extension. AFAIK the Samsung needs proper filename extensions to detect the correct file format, doesn't it? At least MiniDLNA seems to keep the extensions. Here's an excerpt of the log at level "debug": [2015/12/28 20:59:24] clients.c:271: debug: Client found in cache. Guest
Hi Flymy, thank for your offer, but I don't think it's the files, because it doesn't work with *any* photo-file and the error message is always the same. The same files work without any problems with minidlna. They also work with Samsung's "Allshare" software. So I think it's something in Emby's DLNA implementation that my TV doesn't like.
