RCDingen 1
Hi I use a Unraid server with Emby server. When I ad a movie.iso file Emby changed it to ._movie .iso but not all files and there is no hidden file in the directory. Also BDMV maps are not added. Never had any problems only sometimes there where hidden files added to the directory and I delete it via the metadata manager and refresh the libary. I run Emby Server 3.0.5781.8 Rob
Luke 37262
It's this is correct. Files beginning with ._ are hidden, I think for osx if I recall.
RCDingen 1
Yes that's correct i'm working on a Mac. But normal hidden files on a mac are just with a dot .file.* not ._file.* But a Mac can show hidden files but they are not in the directory. The BDMV is not a problem it's not visible in the metadata manager so they work. Rob
ebr 14959
When I ad a movie.iso file Emby changed it to ._movie .iso but not all files and there is no hidden file in the directory. I don't think we renamed your movie file...
RCDingen 1
I can do nothing with that. The file name in the movie directory is Ant-Man (2015).ISO in the metadata manager it's ._Ant-Man (2015).ISO and there is no extra hidden file in the directory. Sometimes it happens that I have both files in the metadata manager then I delete the hidden file via the metadata manager and refresh the library and everything is fine. But with this problem I cannot change the name because its ok. What can I do to resolve this? Rob
Luke 37262
Files that begin with ._ are ignored and you're going to continue to have problems with them. Unfortunately it's not configurable at the moment. You can see the original ticket of why it was done here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/
RCDingen 1
Oke I find the problem. There are hidden files on the server but my Mac only show hidden files like .file.* not the ._file.* So I delete manual all ._files en refresh the library and all problems are gone.
