EricE 2
Are subtitles possible? Can anyone point me to a thread that explains how to do this? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Solution Luke 37116 Posted December 24, 2015 Solution Share Posted December 24, 2015 Hi there, welcome. Check out our wiki on supported subtitles. The Roku app will support everything listed here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Subtitles

EricE 2
okay, so I had some success but I don't understand what is going on. First, that page says you can add forced into the file name. What exactly does that do because it didn't cause roku to automatically use the subtitles. If I go into the play options on that move and choose the subtitles then I DO get them to work. Yay me. But only with forced in the file name. If I leave the .srt file with the exact same name as the movie then I was not able to get them to show even after using the subtitle options in the play options of the movie just like I did with above with the .forced in the title. Even crazier. That page says forced is to be preceded by the language in the file name but if I do that I cannot get it to work. So if the movie were Titanic.mp4 then a subtitle of Titanic.Eng.Forced.srt would not work but one of Titanic.Forced.srt would work. Any idea what is going on?
