Metadata Manager .. minutes and minutes spinning

I just loaded my P drive last night .. I wanted to look at the 'tag' editor and figured Metadata Manager was the way to go.  That was 5 minutes ago and still running.

Is it trying to read in all the metadata from all the files or ?? Is there an "optomize" db I need to run?

What is the preferred method of editing metadata (tags).

the metadata manager is on our to do list to rework. for now it is easier to use the regular browsing section to find the title you want to edit, then launch the editor from there
