gmacman 3
Just curious from those running Emby on a FreeNAS system how often do you update? Do you update via plugin every time there's a new version available there? Or only if a fix mentioned is something you need?I'm of the school to look for comments about new versions before updating but haven't seen anything negative posted about the current 3.0.5781.5 which is available from the plugins.I'm still on 3.0.5768.
sluggo45 47
There are significant improvements, some for Freenas/Mono in particular, in between 5768.7. You should update. Generally speaking, there is always a lag between when an official (non-beta) release hits and when the plugin is updated anyway. So there's rarely danger in updating Emby on FreeNAS, though there have been a couple minor pbi-specific issues crop up here and there. You're on FreeNAS, you should be running regular scheduled snapshots of your jails and backing them up anyway, it's one of the major benefits of using FreeNAS. So if you run in to a problem with an update you are just one click away from being back where you were before it.
