you can already do this by editing the sort name value in metadata. it's even exposed in the editing interface so that you can do it from a web browser

 

Like I know WTF any of that means, lol. My suggestion's obviously better, because everyone knows how to rename a file or a folder in windows.

 

But, sure, let's make it more complicated for the user, and do it the "right" way:
