onewaytrigger 1
Has anyone experienced this?? I tried many times to delete those folders, but Emby keeps auto recreating them
Deathsquirrel 741
Nope, but recommend you load your library in MP3Tag and make sure those values don't appear in your tags somewhere. That's the most likely cause.

I notice Emby are populating the tab with some artists that are not mentioned in the tags, I have one M83 album wich have one remixed song, Emby created an entry Artist (Maps) just because this song... onewaytrigger 1
Managed to get rid of of those "artists" But did anoter re-scan and 5 more appeared... from albums wich I didn't touch. Is there anyway to prevent emby from add artists that are not on the tags?

Luke 37156
what's in the tags? that's really what's most important.
onewaytrigger 1
I alway uesd MediaMonkey for tagging all my files, it turns out now that I relied too much on it... I just decided to check with Mp3Tag too and see what I found: I don't know why on earth this could happen, could Emby modify the tags? I ask this because couple hours before there was no Unknow artist on Emby, and that album was added to library months ago.... My major problem is gone now, Thanks!! One last question: Why emby keeps adding this artist even if I delete it's folder on 'AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\metadata\artists\'
Luke 37156
because everything under that folder is based on music tags. if you want to delete an artist then remove it from the audio files.
