keneighteen 1 Posted December 3, 2015 Share Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) I'm new to this I downloaded emby and set up a server I can get my movies to play on my computer (where the files are located) via browser But when I go on the android app - I sign in, I can see my server listed, but I get a "connection failure" and it says it's unable to connect, please ensure that it is running. I really have no idea what I'm doing, I just want to watch movies on my phone and other computers without having to physically transfer the files over. What do I do now? Depending on how far you get that will help determine where the issue is. You might also consider trying the beta version of the mobile app, which was just updated today: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24350-android-open-beta-testing/ Hey I appreciate the reply I'm trying the internal connection troubleshoot Going to http://localhost:8096 or http://192.168.1.15:8096 works on the browser on my computer but not on my phone's browser (also on Wifi) I also have a remote address on my dashboard and it doesnt work on my computer's browser. keneighteen 1 Posted December 4, 2015 Author Share Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Turned off the server, turned it on again the next day and saw that the local and remote access IP addresses changed. Decided to try again on the app and it magically worked. Not sure what I did but it's fixed now.
