olli123 0
Hi there, i´m new to Emby........... so please don´t harm me So i want to watch LiveTV with Emby. My Backend is a Mediaportal TV Server. I have installed Emby and the Mediaportal plugin for LiveTV. I have installed the latest version of MPExtened v0.6.0.3 Emby from this forum and also replaced the Emby .dll file. I set it up. I can see all channels and also the EPG is imported and working fine. When i start viewing of a channel i can see on the MPExtended under activities Emby connected. I can see on MP TV Server that it is tuning the channel and starts timeshift. So this should be fine.......... But the screen stay black. After some seconds the TV Server stops timeshifting ........ I have tried different profiles like direct, http or ffmpeg streaming............ All with the same problem. I have tried different Clients like Web client, Android app or FireTV app. No one is working. The server log shows some errors but i can´t read the problem out. Maybe someone can help? Emby is running on Windows7 32bit on the same machine where MP TV server is installed. Playing some other files with Emby works fine. server-63583736216.txt

pünktchen 1258
From MP plugin side it looks all okay in your log. Open this http://localhost:4322/MPExtended/StreamingService/stream/DoStream?type=TV&provider=0&itemId=52&identifier=TV-52-20151122082406&clientDescription=TV-52-20151122082406&profileName=Direct&startPosition=0&idleTimeout=10 in a media player of your choice and you will get the same tv stream that is used by Emby. Can you also post you "transcoding.log" please.

pünktchen 1258
What CPU do you have? Also please check in Emby server dashboard -> Wiedergabe -> Transcoding -> Harware Video Decoder: that you don't have set Intel Quicksync!
pünktchen 1258
Btw. ARD HD is working fine for me in Chrome, so it's not a general plugin problem. You could also try another browser.
olli123 0
I´m using a AMD A6-3500 APU with 4GB Ram on 32bit Windows 7................... Hardware Video Decoder is set to AUTO. Dunno what´s wrong with my setting. VLC is streaming fine, so the MP TV Server and MPExtended are working. It must have to deal with Emby.............. I also tried Internet Explorer which is also not working............
pünktchen 1258
Out of interest: Does any other media file play for you in a browser or is it just a live tv problem? Maybe @@Luke can have a look at your logfiles?!
olli123 0
It´s just a problem with LiveTV. Other video files are playing fine. I have created some log files with debug mode. Maybe it will help? EDIT: I found this in my logs:"Bitrate exceeds DirectPlay limit" But where can i set this limit? server-63583828996.txt transcode-c17a84ab-cd94-4bd7-8393-45f328d95ad2.txt transcode-d985f640-06be-4621-868c-c3fea8ad0f44.txt Edited November 22, 2015 by olli123

pünktchen 1258
In your Emby server user profile settings, there are playback settings where you can set a bitrate limit. In a browser go to the top right on your user icon -> settings or in server dashboard -> users -> your userprofile -> "Bearbeite dieses Benutzerprofil, das Benutzerbild und die persönlichen Einstellungen." Btw. the bitrate i'm sending with the plugin to emby is as follows: VideoStream Height <= 576 : Bitrate = 4Mbps VideoStream Height > 576 or VideoStream Height <= 720 : Bitrate = 7Mbps VideoStream Height > 720 : Bitrate = 9Mbps It's of course not the real video stream bitrate i'm sending to Emby. MPExtended doesn't provide one! It's just a parameter that helps Emby to decide if transcoding is needed or direct play.
