MALLINDER 10
Lets say if I have a movie folder and recorded tv folder. Is there any way I can lock the movie folder so no one can delete anything from it, but can still delete from the recorded tv folder ?
legallink 187
At this time, no. The server application does not provide that kind of granularity control. People can have delete access or not, but the access is not folder/library based.
BrianG 11
Couldn't that be sort of done by allowing Emby to delete contents, but then set explicit NT permissions on the folder (or share) you want to lock down? Yeah, Emby will still probably allow the delete action, but not actually do it, right?
ebr 14959
Well, specifically with your example, we do have separate settings for managing recorded TV vs deleting from the library. So, if the recorded TV were actually recordings to Emby in the Live TV section (instead of actually added as a library item) then you could do it. Solution Luke 37256 Posted November 16, 2015 Solution Share Posted November 16, 2015 Actually this is incorrect - if a user is given access to manage tv recordings, they can delete recordings, even if the they are not allowed access to the normal delete feature.
