Hi all,

been a while since I've been here and posted.

Recently, when I start Windows Media Center and then click on the Emby icon, it takes anywhere from 30-60 seconds for Emby to finally take me to the Emby loading screen and then start. Once I am in, everything is fine but I'm not sure why, after several years of being an Emby/Media Browser user this has started.

Please point me in the direction of something to check and figure this out. Thanks!

Ken

Where to check this and how to change it? I'm experiencing this issue too.

I'm also having issues with loading MPC-HC for playback. Does the player in WMC use LAV and MadVR or is it the old WMC player?

Advanced config page in EMC.

WMC is WMC.  Hasn't really changed in almost 10 years...

EBR,

thank you for your response. Where would I go to make sure that Emby is pointing to a correct IP address? What should it be? Is this pointing to my own home IP address? This might make sense because I just moved a couple weeks ago. Would Emby auto change the IP address or would I need to do that myself?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

Advanced config page in EMC.

Go there and toggle the setting for "Connection" to "Find Automatically".

Yup. Did the trick! Now to just skip picking the server on log in and go direct to my content. It used to do this but since the update to the web client within WMC it doesn't anymore.

I saw this post and just checked my configuration.  I changed it to find automatically. The difference in loading was dramatic.

Thanks ebr
