Erik 120
I gave no problem playing h264 bluray mkv files from emby casting through chrome browser (20mbps or so). However, any mpeg2 files I try and play results in the video freezing every couple seconds, then jumping ahead to match the audio. The Server has never had problems transcoding before and the same file plays in chrome browser at full bitrate. Any ideas? Transcoding log attached, Thanks. Erik 120
Bump @@Luke If you get a chance can you give me any idea's on whats going on. I'm using the new chromecast and the server cpu is only at about %20 so its not a lack of power. Same thing happens with like TV being cast. so the common theme is MPEG2. Luke 37271
the transcoding logs look fine so there's no obvious problem. try dropping down to the default chromecast bitrate of 3mbps, then if successful, work your way back up.
Erik 120
Thanks @@Luke I just tested with multiple bitrates (started very low to medium). No change. I get about 1/2 of video, then the images freezes and this repeats. The Audio plays perfectly however. As i said, its isolated to MPEG2 files it would seem. Here is the test file info, a fresh sever log and transcode log.
