Emby reset to default settings after changing metadata directory path

Hi everybody. Here is my little sad story, hope somebody can help me here.

I ran out of space today and made a bad decision to point metadata directory to a directory on an external drive.

Now I see Initial Setup Wizard when I try to access my Emby Web UI.

Fortunately, all of the data is still there in /var/lib/emby-server/metadata, but now I don't know how to tell Emby to look at that directory. It is configured to use /mnt/hdd/storage/emby-metadata which is empty now.

I tried to make a link like this /mnt/hdd/storage/emby-metadata -> /var/lib/emby-server/metadata, but it didn't help.

So I'm asking the community for a help as my library has some manually downloaded content which I don't want to lose.

Some technical info:

emby-server version: 3.0.5768.7

hardware: ODROID-U3

OS: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS

I Attached a log file just in case (no errors there though).

can you try putting the data back where it was? then use the functions in the UI to change paths accordingly, for example, under server -> settings, you can change the server cache path.
