Today I unable to connect to emby using 2 of my administrator accounts in the web client (IE and Chrome) or web client on my Android phone. I keep getting "Invalid Username and/or Password" When I look in the logs it says that the user does not have access to the device. But I can log into Emby thru my Roku and Emby for WMC.

When I go to: http://app.emby.media/index.html and sign in with my emby connect, I'm able to only login with a limited guest account. I don't have access to manage the server.

For my 2 admin accounts I don't have any passwords setup for them, just a user name. I tried doing reset password, but when I go to: http://192.xxx.x.x:8096/web/forgotpasswordpin.html, I'm immediately taken to http://192.xxx.x.x:8096/web/login.html. And there is no place to enter the PIN, just to select from one of my Users.

I had this problem once before where 1 of my admin accounts wouldn't login. So I connected with the other admin account and when I checked the first account, it showed none of the devices that it could connect to checked. So I re-checked the devices and that account was able to connect again.

Is there anyway to gain access to managing my server?

Logs attached. Server Version: 3.0.5724.6

you're going to have to shutdown the server, find the program data / config /XXX/policy.xml file and set EnableAllDevices to true. XXX = your user id which you may not be able to determine so this will be trial and error.

going forward i am just going to take this away so that administrators cannot accidentally lock themselves out. administrators will just have access to all devices.

Thanks Luke, that worked.

So the only reason I unchecked access from all devices was my little sister is using one of the accounts without admin privileges on her Roku 2 and I didn't want her to sign in using an admin user. Although someone on a Roku couldn't manage the server right?
