Intropy 0 Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) I can reach the web server just fine over both http and https. The home screen comes up. None of the icons under "My Media" have any thumbnails, and if I click on them I do not navigate to the appropriate section of the UI, but the textual indicator in the upper left corner does change to the appropriate value ("TV", "Music Videos", etc.). Most of the items under "Resume" and "Latest Media" are missing previews as well, but they do have the ui components like the watched check mark and the progress indicator displayed. The "Home", "Next up", ... tabs likewise show up but do not respond to clicks. Clicking on the user icon in the upper right or the three horizontal lines icon in the top left brings up the appropriate fly out panel, but none of the buttons on them are responsive. If I go to the web/login.html directly from a new tab I do get a usable login page, but if I enter the url from a browser tab that is on the non-functioning home screen then the browser never goes to the login page. If I login and go to the configuration dashboard it is usable. I have tried both LAN and WAN both with IE11 and Chrome 45 and over http as well as https. That didn't affect anything except that if I'm using one of http or https close a tab then open a new one and try to go to the dashboard url it usually times out if I use the same protocol, but if I switch to the other it comes up. I have also tried restarting the emby server. The only difference is that immediately after a reboot one additional thumbnail under "Resume" showed up. I clicked it and it took me to the page to play the video, but on that page nothing was functional. Going back to home yielded the same results as previously with nothing working. I am also running a kodi client on the same LAN, and it is working just fine. The server version I am running is: 3.0.5724.5I am running it on FreeNAS-9.2.1.4-RELEASE-x64 (a688538) via the plugin. ebr 14934 Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 It sounds to me like your items aren't defined or identified properly. I would use the metadata manager to see if that is the case. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Intropy 0 Posted October 16, 2015 Author Share Posted October 16, 2015 I have actually used the metadata manager. I had to correct a couple of movies, but for the most part it was accurate. I do have two different libraries of home movies. I haven't looked at them through metadata manager because I figured it was irrelevant to them. Are you saying it sounds like all of the items are misidentified or that the existence of misidentified items would lead to those symptoms? ebr 14934 Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 It sounded to me like a lot of it was not identified properly but it is hard sometimes to visualize. Screen shots would probably really help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Intropy 0 Posted October 17, 2015 Author Share Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Is there an alternate logs location? The server lists several log files, but there's nothing more recent than October 12 even though it's been up and running uninterrupted since then. ls confirms that: drwxr-xr-x 2 emby emby 16 Oct 12 17:00 . drwxr-xr-x 12 emby emby 12 Oct 11 01:08 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 13855530 Oct 11 02:01 server-63580135995.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 2484815 Oct 11 17:00 server-63580150897.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 18238 Oct 11 13:18 server-63580191534.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 18238 Oct 11 14:13 server-63580194820.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 331253713 Oct 12 15:30 server-63580204800.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 114236 Oct 12 17:00 server-63580285809.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 11816 Oct 12 19:27 server-63580291200.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 7496 Oct 11 01:00 transcode-130ce344-d463-4c76-ac1a-70c436624f5c.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 47796 Oct 11 01:05 transcode-64527162-6be7-4734-b411-e540e966254e.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 490510 Oct 11 02:01 transcode-8f0a4f21-c452-4bc5-9e70-97c1aa275191.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 7940 Oct 11 01:00 transcode-9817d1d8-89f4-4ae6-ad04-b4338d9cfeca.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 8211 Oct 11 00:59 transcode-ef591118-83d5-45bc-bb3d-f830d53163a8.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 2695 Oct 11 13:18 unhandled_51f57448-2eb9-4985-ae73-d40bad90729e.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 emby emby 2695 Oct 11 14:13 unhandled_eac1e3fb-6247-4456-9af6-8c953609061e.txt root@emby_1:/var/db/emby-server/logs # At first I thought maybe it ran out of storage space. Luke 37116 Posted October 17, 2015 Share Posted October 17, 2015 no, the server will delete files more than a few days old. you can access the log file directly in the web interface under help -> logs 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Intropy 0 Posted October 17, 2015 Author Share Posted October 17, 2015 help -> logs is where I went first. It showed the same list as ls did. I've enclosed the most recent log in case it is somehow helpful despite its age. I admit I'm a little paranoid about exposing data, so I did censor some terms in there with Foo, Bar, and Baz. I hope that doesn't cause any problems. server-63580291200.txt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DanHarris 1 Posted October 2, 2016 Share Posted October 2, 2016 I have what appears to be the exact same symptoms. Was any solution found? Should I upload logs to this thread or start a new one since this seems abandoned? Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
