gcoupe 63
Now that Windows 10 supports FLAC format natively, I want to move my Music library from using lossy MP3 files to lossless FLAC files. I'm keeping the same folder structure for my albums, and gradually replacing all the MP3 tracks with their FLAC equivalents. The Folder structure is as recommended in the Tutorial: This has worked for multi-disc albums using MP3 - I get a single entry in the Music Library page, and in the album page itself, I get all the tracks listed by disc. However, when the tracks are in FLAC format, even though they are in the same folder structure as the MP3 tracks that they have replaced, all the tracks are concatenated, and no longer split out across the discs. Here's the two-disc album of Kate Bush's Aerial as an example: Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
Luke 37062
it appears you have them in some kind of disc 2 subfolder but the embedded tag says disc 1. the Disc 1 heading on the screen is pulling from the tag.
gcoupe 63
That Disc 2 is something that Emby has got from somewhere. All the tracks are properly separated and tagged correctly (as far as I'm aware).
gcoupe 63
Just noticed that I do have "Aerial Disc 1" in that screenshot - and the second disc will have an album title of "Aerial Disc 2" in all probability. I suspect I should have the same album title for both, and use disc number tags? I thought I had that, but this might be the issue. I'll look further into it tomorrow. Thanks for your response in the meantime...
Deathsquirrel 741
I'm not having any issues with my multi disc albums. All tracks from the set are in one folder with the tags noting the disc number.
Solution gcoupe 63 Posted October 15, 2015 Author Solution Share Posted October 15, 2015 OK - panic over. The issue was being caused by incorrect tags in the FLAC files. Sorry about that.
