ozrex 0 Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Not sure if this is the right place to suggest features, but just thought I would make the following suggestion: Make the OSD while playing a video the same as youtube or plex (and a number of other android tv apps - except for netflix who seem to do their own thing). It would help with the WAF if all apps on android tv maintain a consistent OSD, plus you would have an area where you could scroll down (as per "related videos" in youtube while playing a video) where you could possibly display the chapter thumbnails, negating the need for the user to select the chapter icon and pressing ok to display what chapters are available. ebr 14959 Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 The original version had this very interface but it didn't fit with the Fire TV at all and the two versions share a common code base and the FTV is actually the much larger platform. Our OSD provides more features as well. It is possible if enough interest for this is expressed that we could go back to this on just the ATV platform but I only want to do it if there is overwhelming support for it (because we then have to maintain two interfaces). So far, you are the second person to mention it. The reason Netflix is different is the same reason we are. Edit: Actually, the blog post never showed the playback interface. Here is what it used to look like using the standard ATV elements.
