alasdairm 0
hello i searched for this error message and came up blank. perhaps the search terms are too generic... i downloaded emby for windows and started the install. i get to this screen: i then visit https://emby.media/pin/ and enter the pin and get this error: i am already registered and logged in. the welcome screen says if i son't have access to an emby server, i can install one by visiting http://emby.media so i try that and i'm back to square one. i'm pretty computer literate so i must be missing something incredibly obvious. please help. thanks and regards alasdair Edited October 3, 2015 by alasdairm
Happy2Play 8282
Emby for WMC is a client, you need to install Emby Server to serve your media to the client. Look at the Server section https://emby.media/download/
Olywa123 46
As Happy says, you need to install an emby server (presumably windows) and configure that (point to your library, setup accounts, etc.) and then think about which clients you want to use. I would add that you don't necessarily require emby for WMC (Windows Media Center client) since the server install will provide you with a nicely presented web client (browser based) interface for access to your library, unless of course you have preference to access your media via WMC and the benefits that come with that (i.e. using a remote control, potentially better/nicer interface).
