garyw383 0
Hi I can't seem to find info in the forum at the moment, but I do remember previously seeing info regarding issues with windows 8.1.. Has this been resolved? Can I update to 8.1 ?
Logos302 86
Everything seems to be working now. When they released Windows 8.1 officially they also released a patch that seems to have fixed all issues preventing MBC from running properly. But with anything new there is also the unknown. I'm running on all my pc's that had Windows 8. And so far no problems.

newb 14
I upgraded from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 8.1 Pro today. One thing to remember is that you will need to add the Windows Media Center feature again if you were using MBC. I simply used the WMC key that I obtained from Microsoft when it was being offered for free for Windows 8 Pro. Another thing I noticed was that the Media Browser service was missing after the upgrade, but after starting Media Browser via the app shortcut, the service was back. I then quit the app, configured the service to start automatically again and started it. Other than the above extra steps, there were no issues.
