Emby Theater Windows 10 on FreeNas Emby Server - Cannot get VLC working

I have installed Emby Theater for Windows on aa fresh W10 installation.

 

I have set up external player, left all path settings as default, and set up[ path substitution on Emby in Freenas such that. External player is VLC at the default path of C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe

 

The CIFS share is at  /mnt/LDATA/movies gets a path substitution to \\MYSERVER\movies oln my FreeNAS Emby server

 

Now when I play a movie I get "Error request could not be processed" which is meaningless.

 

Where can I see what the problem is please?

You might want to lose the external player and post your request in the correct forum, the one for emby theater.  The former will clarify if this is a problem launching the external player and the latter is just a bit more likely to produce some help.
