Playing trailers MBClassic/MBServer doesn't work

First of all I don't know if this is the right topic. Sorry if it is not.

I have this setup:

With this I can play all video/audio formats :-)

However when I want to play a trailer it won't work, saying something like that it can not find its location.

There is a video indicator saying the trailers are Quicktime, so I tried playing Quicktime files (*.mov) via Windows Media player, no problems. I watched Apple trailers with Internet Explorer and Chrome, no problems.

And now may the strangest part; when I do it via MB Classic and use it as a client on my laptop it does work (!).

Like said before, the codec configuration was the same as for MB2.x, for which playing trailers did work.

Anyone has got an idea?

Thanks in advance!

Trailer playback is very different in MB3 than it was in MB2.  This definitely sounds like a codec issue.  I would suggest uninstalling all codecs and installing LAV.

Thanks for the reply. I will try this and let you know if this solves it.

Edit: removing the ffdshow codecs  and installing LAV solved it! :)
