Problem with XVID codec on Windows 8.1 (but not Windows 10)

Hi,

 

I just bought the App and I installed it :

 

- On PC (Windows 8.1, server)

- On Surface Pro (Windows 10).

 

I have a problem of very, very, low quality ("trembling" image, grainy texture, unstable texts...) with this file type and only this file type:

 

Container: .avi; Codec : XVID.

 

On PC and with Emby App, the image is very bad, and it is the same with the Videos App integrated with Windows 8.1.

 

- If I play the same files on the PC with Emby Theater, VLC (desktop), VLC (App Windows Store), MPC, WMP, the image is correct.

 

- If I play the same files on the Surface, the image is correct (Emby App, Movies and TV App, and VLC App)

 

- If I convert with another codec, the image is correct on PC.

 

Two questions:

 

- Is there a problem with the XVID codec and Emby App on Windows 8.1 ?(a problem which, apparently, does not exist on Windows 10)

- Is there another solution that encode files with another codec? (tedious and loss of quality)
