Sorry if this has been answered previously, but i didn't find much via a search.

There's a spot to configure or upload a trusted server certificate for the external HTTPS host but i don't see a place to generate a signing request to take to a third party.  Do you just do this using openSSL or something, or does the emby server have a tool to generate the key?

Thanks in advance.

You can do it with many different servers like IIS, check this out:

https://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-support/csr-generation/ssl-certificate-index.html

You can install IIS on a windows 7+ and use it to generate your CSR and when all its done export the certificate.

If you go with StartCom's free certificate then they'll generate one for you and provide you the private key.

If you prefer to pay for a more reputable certificate, check GoGetSSL, they have good prices and also an online tool to generate the CSR:

Cool Thanks.  That's what I figured was to use something like openssl or IIS.

Appreciate the response.
