Emby Seeking Does not Work

I've been using the Emby Android TV app for a while now and am finding the overall responsiveness rather poor.

The app is constantly crashing and seeking is a big issue.

I've been trying to figure out what is going on but can't really narrow down the issue. I have not had a chance to look at the code yet.

Logcat doesn't really output anything useful. I tried to seek to a specific point and all I see is the android progress circle spinning.

I do see a lot of this:

D/NuPlayerDriver(  156): seekTo(0xb91dbdf0) 2516631 ms
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.Nvidia.h264.decode] resubmitting CSD
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.google.aac.decoder] resubmitting CSD
I/SoftAAC2(  156): Initially configuring decoder: 48000 Hz, 6 channels
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.Nvidia.h264.decode] resubmitting CSD
I/NuPlayer(  156): video discontinuity (formatChange=0, time=1)
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.Nvidia.h264.decode] resubmitting CSD
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.Nvidia.h264.decode] resubmitting CSD
I/NuPlayer(  156): audio discontinuity (formatChange=0, time=1)
I/System.out(10267): Seek complete...
I/NuPlayerDecoder(  156): [OMX.google.aac.decoder] resubmitting CSD

CBers

Which version of the app, which platform and what types of videos?

Have you been submitting Crash Reports if you get the option?

Might be worth posting the server log from when the problems occur, so EBR can have a look.

There is a new version of the app currently in beta testing, which will bring better playback.

Yes, what device and android version?  I don't recognize the origin of those player messages.
