When I try to add a source to my library. I can select a path on /volume1 but Emby does not find any files in it. And also I cannot choose subdirectories e.g. Videos/films. No Chance.

Ok, I think you'll need to mount these as internal shares in order for the server to see them

I read a Little bit into NFS.

What would be the IP Adress

My NAS has the 192.168.11.12

The Fire TV stick has 192.168.11.5

It would be fantastic if you can tell me what would the correct Options that I have to fill in.

I am a totally newbie to that.

Do I have to create a own user for that. I see that Plex have done that on my synology.

Great thanks in advance.

@Michael_Schmitz

Emby uses SAMBA by default, NFS is more "server" based.

Look in your control panel ==> Shard folder. click on your share name you are trying to access, then edit. Make sure admin has read/write enabled

The other way of looking at the permissions is open File station browse to the folder, right click it properties. Then permissions. Make sure read/write is enabled for admin.

Great,

I enabled permissions for users on the shared Folders. Now it works, but ...

The library scan hangs at 71.6 % completion.

Restart the emby Server several times, but it goes no further ;-(

Using Server build 5607.2

HI ,

a new Thing every day ;-)

NOw Videos are starting for themselves without having selected that.

Very annoying.

if there are video's in subfolder named the same as folders can cause scanning issues, if you look in the logs it usually shows where the issue is.

If you have a dump of files in a folder then it just craps out. it will eventually get through the scan. But when it scanns again I've found it get's bogged down in the same spot over and over.

If it is a mess make a new tv and movie folder and use some kind of sorting software to automate  and rename it for you like the renamer, mediacenter master or manually with filebot.

Again another Thing

I have several libraries for movies and one for tv shows In emby Server I set the up as separate media folders

Spielfilme

Dokumentationen

TV Aufnahmen

...

In Kodi (emby for kodi) Emby Server synchronizes only the first  media Folder "Spielfilme" and themedia Folder  tv Shows Folder, but not the additional movie Folders

??

That is a Howto Kodi Question I "Think" your asking how to display different folders on the home page. You edit the tiles in the skin settings ===>Configure shortcuts.
