jojovee 2
Emby client for WMC has started to become slow in response times. When I select emby from the WMC menu, it takes over 30 seconds to respond. Once selected, it will remain on the main WMC screen doing nothing, then 30 seconds later (possibly more, haven't timed it) it will then go into the emby interface. I tried to do the suggestions in this post: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/19766-mbclient-slow-load-30-seconds/ but couldn't find the advanced config page in Emby. I've always selected automatically detect as well, I've never hard coded a path to my server. My emby server is installed on the same pc as wmc and emby for wmc and I have configured network shares for my libraries with UNC paths. I've also noticed as well that every time once I get in and browse to a genre folder, it takes about 5 seconds (sometimes longer depending on how many movies I have in that genre) before all my movies will show up. I've set a local cache folder path on the server as well hoping this would speed things up but it hasn't made a difference. Anyone have other suggestions I could try? ebr 14929
It could be any number of things. An EMC log might shed some light.

jojovee 2
I've fixed it. I managed to find the MBCommon.xml file in the configurations folder. I had a look at it and I found there was an ip address hard coded into the file. I changed the ip address manually and it's resolved the slow load issue. It now behaves as it should and enters emby WMC as soon as I click on it. Thanks heaps ebr, you at least got me to look around and see for myself Would you know what's causing the second issue? Or if you could tell me where the logs for EMC is kept I can have a look for myself. I couldn't seem to find anything in the same location as the other files. Solution ebr 14929 Posted July 16, 2015 Solution Share Posted July 16, 2015 Simply going to the Advanced page in the config inside EMC would have allowed you to change that to "Find Automatically". How to Report a Problem
